511. Taming Emotions

Or what I observed about myself in a recent dream and how it relates to our possibility stand up in worst case scenarios

I had an interesting dream a few days ago that I find relevant to share because it speaks about my own relationship to emotions and specially fears that were represented quite well in my dream and who I was able to stand as in the dream, which was quite a surprising thing for myself and it relates very much to how I’ve been seeing myself quite stable and grounded regardless of some drastic changes in my life.

I was in a place where there were goats, like a mix of ox-goats because they were very strong and bulky, they were very unsettled and all over the place looking to simply ‘attack’ according to how I saw them – and immediately upon seeing myself in that situation, I got scared and feared that one of them would incrust its horns on my body and I’d end up dead on the spot. This actually happened immediately, what happened next is that the ox-goat was holding me with its horns against the wall and hurting me, yet when seeing myself in this situation – which dare I say for a dream is a ‘worst case scenario’ for sure – I made a decision to not give into panic and desperation, but rather do all that I could to soften up the situation, to slow down within myself and so with the animal.

I actually decided to connect with the ox-goat and aim to tranquilize him, to calm him down and so when he had me ‘pinned’ against the wall I embraced the goat/ox and started to quiet myself inside my mind and focused on breathing deeply until I was essentially still within myself. I interpret it as me going into the depth of myself, that part that is always here, as us, that part that is physical and stable, here, grounded and to my surprise it worked, which caused a little excitedness but I knew this could ‘wake him up again’ so I kept focusing on the stability, the breathing and holding the ‘beast’ as equal to myself, in that physicality and stability.

At the same time upon seeing the results, I knew that at the very least emotional ‘upheaval’ within me or attempt to let go out of fear, it could go back into the previous state wherein he was quite accelerated and literally all over the place wanting to hurt anyone he could. I was assessing this in that moment of being calm and embracing, yet I knew that then my ‘staying in physical stability’ and such calm and focusing on my breathing would have been also ‘fake’ if I was only doing it out of fear of ‘disturbing the beast again’ or only as a way to ‘save myself.’

So I had to correct my starting point again and continue breathing with it, embracing it, and being stable together and that’s all I can remember of that dream but I really liked the solution that I applied even in that very ‘worst case scenario’ of being wounded myself by its horns and I could also see the ox/goat wounded at the same time and instead of fearing, crying or just waiting to surrender to ‘my outcome,’ I decided to calm myself down and in doing so also get to calm the animal down and my intent was to show him he didn’t have to be all over the place, he could be at ease and peace within, which I had to stand as in equality to demonstrate it.

It was very cool indeed because as with any dreams, it’s not like they are just ‘made up’ things by our minds but currently dreams represent deep aspects about ourselves wherein we can actually apply our corrections, our processes of standing up even in situations that might seem ‘out of control’. Surely, maybe in real life this wouldn’t be possible and I would have been killed on the spot, lol, but what matters for the sake of the dream and my self-reflection is the decision I made right there to support myself and the animal as well to breathe, to be here, to be fully present, to get to our core and essence of both being physical and being able to recognize each other as equals, to not continue in the emotional upheaval or ‘fighting’ and ‘harming.’

This is quite a cool solution for myself wherein I can make sure that whenever I see myself going into emotions and be ‘all over the place’ I can decide to stop the inner-fight, the inner-conflict and simply embrace myself, remind myself of the core and physicality I am that is not of conflict, not of emotions, not of ‘fighting’ but where we can exist in a genuine stability as a way to support ourselves to calm down and essentially stop harming ourselves, because emotions do have a damaging effect on the body and it’s not cool at all to keep ‘rewinding’ our mind-cassettes that pump our emotions – or feelings – and eventually end getting us into a situation of self-harm, of self-disrespect, of dishonor, of pain, of sorrow, of hatred, of violence towards oneself or others – we definitely have to get out of that loop and instead learn to tranquilize ourselves, calm ourselves down, slow down and realize that just like in the dream, if one keeps ‘at it’ in our minds, generating emotions or feelings, causing continuous inner conflict, we’ll end up screwing ourselves, our lives, our bodies and our minds even more. There’s nothing ‘good’ that’s ever going to come out by acting out with emotions.

So I find it interesting that I had to see this in a more physical way and how I was hurting myself and what I had to do to precisely stop myself from getting wounded, and this dream came after a moment where I was becoming angry and in an experience of irritation for a situation I have created in my life, which I noticed was not the right way to follow through with and that I had to stop and take responsibility for my reactions, because nothing good was going to come out of it. This dream also came in the night after I wrote out the blog 506. From Despair to a Constructive Aftermath

where I wrote out and created a resolution for myself to not be ‘destructive’ against myself or others in the aftermath of a situation, but learn from it and change.

In a way here also to look at the name I’ve given to the animal as ‘the beast’ and how a beast is actually a physical being, have no mind as we do yet have instincts that are defined by survival, hence defense mechanisms, so upon showing that I meant no harm, I wasn’t playing out the ‘counter part’ to its reason to be exalted and all over the place, which then assists the other – the beast in this case – to calm down as well.

This is a cool confirmation for me, a genuine decision to stand up even in such situations and focus on the physical, literally, holding that ‘beast’ which I can see as my own emotional reactions and breathe with it, stabilize myself with it and prevent harm and further abuse within myself and toward others.

Breathing, stabilizing, calming oneself down are points we usually ‘forget’ about when we justify our emotions, but this image of myself being tackled by the ox can serve as a reminder for me to realize what I am doing to myself when being ‘all over the place’ with emotions or in an inner-conflict and instead, breathe, embrace my physicality, slow down and live words that are supportive for the moment.

470. Exploring the Word Resilience

Or how to consider the physical properties of our bodies in worst case scenarios and facing manifested consequences

There’s a particular set of things that at times becomes difficult for us humans in general to accept and embrace, and that’s all the many manifested consequences that we’ve created in this world as a result of an entire creation process that has been happening from our very origin into existence. By now it’s clear to see that whenever we look at how things seem to be going haywire in the world system, in our personal lives, in our relationships, in our societies, one usual reaction is either fight or flight it – which means we either become angry, antagonistic, blameful and spiteful about it, wanting to seek out culprits everywhere else but ‘forget’ to look inside oneself – or one flights it with positivity-mindsets, drugs/alcohol, religion or spirituality that seeks to ‘scape from this world’ or ‘ascend’ or one opts to simply not ‘mind’ a thing about the world at all – and with these two mechanisms we are failing to do something which is to recognize our responsibility, our undeniable participation in the co-creation of yes, this mess we’re in – which at the same time of course holds a lot of potential if we dare to see through the mess as well.

But here focusing on what comes after one has understood one’s participation in this reality co-creation process? What can one do once that one has made peace within the fact that it is futile to fight or flight these manifested consequences, all that is left is to continue living and working on understanding the problems while working at the same time on solutions. This is – however – easier said than done.

So, here what assists a lot is the recognition of our very own life that is not the one that has caused all the problem, that is very physically here existing as our body that has actually been a primary instrument of self-support to keep ourselves alive, relentlessly, resiliently while we are usually going about our lives facing our reality/our creation with fears, being ‘taken over’ by all kinds of experiences of friction and conflict most of our time, instead of focusing on the stability and consistency that the physical body is here showing us, existing as a very solid proof of what ‘being alive’ is all about. But we rarely consider our bodies and that has been one of the biggest ‘failures’ we’ve done as human beings, we’ve underestimated ourselves too much because of focusing too much ‘up there’ in our heads only.

What does this mean in the context of facing manifested consequences? That we have a choice in facing the inevitable such as difficult times, situations, experiences that are a direct outflow of us creating an inner and outer reality that is certainly not safe, not healthy, not grounded in living values and principles – and therefore what do we know? We still have a choice: do we decide to continue fighting reality or flying away from it – OR do we decide to make a self-commitment within ourselves, so that no matter ‘what’ goes on as hardships of all kinds in our reality, we can decide to be our body, to be resilient, to keep persevering, to be grounded ‘no matter what’ happens around us, no matter what ‘natural disaster’ falls upon us, no matter how little money we might be left with in an economic crisis, to be able to adapt to circumstances, to not fear ‘letting go’ of something but realize as long as I am here and breathing, I am alive, there’s potential, there’s ways to continue walking – and then deciding that ‘this is what I decide to be in any worst case scenario’ and this doesn’t mean looking at ‘world disasters’ out there, but can be in personal difficulties that can exist as our worst-case scenario too, both are equally part of what we create and face inside ourselves.

So what does this practically mean? That I can decide to be taken over by fear, by anxiety, by an emotional breakdown and give myself into my mind entirely – OR I can decide to hold on to this resilience that my physical body is representing to me, how it can endure more than we have probably considered or thought of possible, and so honor those physical properties by making them our own way of experiencing ourselves inside of ourselves.

A great example is this word resilience, where by now with all the internal and external pollution caused by ‘external factors’ and internal factors like our mind participation, our bodies could be in much worse condition that they are = they have shown to us their ability to adapt, to be flexible, to endure such inner and outer hardship we’ve imposed onto it, it has shown that even if we impose constant stress, fear, anxiety, worries, imaginations, fantasies onto it, it remains ‘in one piece’ as we say here, it keeps standing up, it has its own means and ways to support itself and clear out stuff that we cause onto it in ways that we cannot even begin to understand or be aware of.

Therefore, I can consider here that whenever we get overwhelmed by chaos, mess, insecurity and a general state of instability in the outside, we have to remind ourselves to look back into our own physical – hence the reference of breath/breathing as a first point of support: it is happening right here on our chest, it is constant, it is consistent, it is our vital signal that we many times become oblivious from when we give too much attention to ‘things out there’ and react to it, which causes yet another layer of strain onto our physical body.

So, consider self-first, we are of no use to ‘change the world’ or ‘fix the situation’ out there in an emotionally wrecked state, in a deteriorated state in our bodies due to being ‘too emotional’ about something. What I’d do is first stabilize myself, make sure I am honoring my physical body’s resilience and embody that myself at a mind level, realizing that I am not defined by failing at a particular outcome, but I am defined by who do I decide to be until the very last breath of my life. This might sound fatalist, but it isn’t really, this same approach can be applied to facing very rough/hard situations OR it can be applied in our day to day living where we decide who we are and what we are focusing onto/giving our breath our life to.

Here I remind myself and leave it clear that no fear, no anger, no worrying and preoccupation can do a thing to sort out anything in this world. Any idea or belief I may have of ‘demon-strating care’ through becoming emotional about something is simply a thing of the mind, not of life. Life as the physical body that you and I have is resilient, is adaptable, is flexible, perseveres, is consistent, is forgiveness in nature – but it can only ‘hold’ so much as well and that’s for us to define to what extent we continue ‘digging our own graves’ or when we start to instead honor, embrace and be actually appreciating the life and each breath that we have and use it for that purpose, for Living! Not focusing only on all things ‘out there’ that we don’t have a direct hold of – we decide what we make of our every day, our time and what we do in our capabilities and possibilities in our very own lives.

Therefore, a reminder of the resilience that life in itself has proven to be and that exists as and within me as well if I accept and allow myself to live it as who I am. It’s no different to the matrix option really, do we decide to keep being enslaved in our minds, fears, in the chaos and mayhem presented in the world and conspiracies and media and end of the world scenarios – or do I decide to focus on the very breath, life and potential that here as myself as my very own choices of words, thoughts and deeds that I can direct and have a responsibility to use, embody and stand on for supportive purposes, not only for me but for others.

What I have to align entirely to that physicality is my mind, make use of it as the tool it is to create solutions, seek alternatives, relate and communicate with others to envision solutions, because that’s what we’re all here for really – and that I can trust myself with, my ability to see alternatives, solutions, find ways because there is a will to walk through it all.

See how timely this point for me is because once that I let go of my ‘quick fix’ scenario I described in past blogs – which aimed at ‘the destruction of all so as to not have to face/live through consequences – now I can then make a sober, clear and much more realistic decision of who I decide to be in the face of what’s here for the rest of my life and existence probably – we’re in this for the long run, therefore, best way is to nurture, care for my body, listen to it, while learning from it at the same time, it’s always ‘in our nose’ this point of physical reminder, but it takes our will, diligence and discipline to step out of the mind to stick to physicality and self-awareness and that’s what will get us through no matter what. That’s my take, what’s your take?

Thanks for reading.

179. Apathy as result of High Expectations

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to generate anxiety and fear when thinking and backchatting myself about the possible outcomes of having to present my work to other people and them assessing that it is not ‘good enough’/ that it is not suitable for this career, that it has nothing to do with what I am supposed to be writing about – without realizing that these thoughts are actually quite absurd when considering how it is that I have created these judgments within me as backchat that I would use in order to convince me that there is ‘no point’ in doing it, within it hitting the excuse and justification of uselessness as a reaction of apathy leading to the cycle of procrastination.

Within this I realize that my reaction of apathy and immediate neglect to what is required to be done is in fact me not having been Here as Breath – but instead talking to myself in my mind as all the negative reasons why I would Not want to get this work done due to having to actually Do It. I breathe and go into the next self forgiveness as a reaction to this realization:

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to react in shame and regret as a form of now feeling ‘bad’ about everything that I did and I didn’t do, without realizing that in this, I am only creating yet another experience to cover up the immediate responsibility at hand, which is part of the reactions that I used to justify my inaction and commitment to do things – due to, instead of realizing that it must be done, going into further thinking/ backchat of all the future play outs and the supposed ‘validity’ of the work in itself, without realizing that any writing in itself will be supportive to se me, no matter in which ‘sphere’ of my reality it takes place in.

When and as I see myself going into shame and regret for all the time wasted and not lived to give proper direction to myself and my work to be done – I stop and I breathe I realize that facing the consequences of what I accepted and allowed is inevitable – however, going into an experience over it in no way supports and assists me to physically move – thus I stop any point of further self-manipulation to find reasons, excuses and justifications as to why I didn’t move – without realizing that such reasons, justifications and excuses only stand as a further deviation of the physical task at hand.

I realize that I have often used this same mechanism when realizing the points that must be done and instead of simply breathing, stabilizing myself physically here, I go into further judgment and justification as all the reasons, excuses, explanations that I try to ‘give a meaning/ value to’ in my mind, which only stand as a defense to protect my own self interest of ‘not wanting to accept having made a mistake/ having fucked it up’ – as that goes ‘against my idea of self,’ which is precisely what we are walking this process for: to see, realize and expose to ourselves to what extent we are able to lie ourselves continuously in order to protect a mechanism of self interest wherein the ‘who we are’ as the perfect/ ideal I have of myself in my mind, is always ‘spotless’

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to always want to place myself as a ‘considerate person’ whenever I would go into the negative backchat and within this considering that my reactions such as immediate fear and anxiety could not remain ‘within me’ as ‘who I am’ which is how I would immediately seek for another point to keep me ‘balanced out’ in my mind, wherein ‘my score’ would remain untainted by this one task I was not directing.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to within reacting in fear and anxiety to face one single aspect and task of my life, generate a complete callous experience toward it, of seemingly it not being ‘important’ and prioritizing other things in my mind, because within doing this, I would keep myself in a ‘safe spot’ of doing things right, properly, without realizing that even the input/ drive to do other things Instead of physically directing me to get this task done was motivated by my own desire to ‘even myself out’ in my mind, wherein even if I knew that I was not getting this task done, I would then create another task/ activity as a supplement to ‘even out’ my sense of remaining a ‘responsible being’ because of ‘doing this other thing/ taking this other responsibility’ – without realizing how I was in fact being selective within this process in order to suit my needs of self interest, to remain with a positive reputation in my mind at the eyes of other and myself, while deliberately knowing that there is this ‘chunk of things’ to direct and do, and that it won’t certainly just ‘go away’ by wishing it so or positively thinking.

When and as I see myself reacting with fear of losing my reputation as a responsible being when realizing I am Not directing myself appropriately – I stop and I breathe – I realize that this is stemming from a defense of my ‘ego’ as this precious thing that I’ve created for myself to remain with a ‘positive stance’ toward people in my world and within myself in my mind, wherein it is no different to talking myself positively in order to create a positive experience for taking other responsibilities and neglecting others that are also important and priority in my reality.

When and as I see myself thinking ‘But! Instead of doing this work, I am doing that other work which is Also important’ – I stop and I breathe – I realize that me doing the ‘balancing out’ wherein I try to even points in order to compensate for what I realize I am not doing, is another trick of the ego to always keeps itself ‘winning’ and ‘on top’ and ‘stable’ and even with a false sense of ‘calmness’ that is like a pill taken to soothe the initial shot of anxiety and fear experienced every time that the backchat ‘I am not doing this’ would be manifested not even as thoughts but as a physical doing of just side sweeping it right away, not giving any ‘second thought’ to actually do it, but simply get on to the rest of the things to do which I have defined myself to be ‘comfortable’ in doing.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to generate an experience of apathy and general dullness when thinking about doing this written work, as the result of the backchat such as ‘what’s the point for this?’ wherein I realize that I am placing a condition to my movement to do things based on the outcome/ result which is an expectation created according to what I would ‘want’ to get from it.

When and as I see myself thinking the backchat ‘what’s the point for this’ and going into apathy and idleness in that moment, I stop and I breathe  – I realize that seeking for a particular outcome that could satisfy my desire for positive experience is another way to sabotage my self-movement as an unconditional one, as a self-willed realization that this must be done regardless of any result or outcome.

I commit myself to be unconditional in my self movement in the physical regardless of the task I have at hand, as I realize that equalizing myself as the physical is not judging the task to be done as either ‘good for me’ or ‘more valuable’ or ‘less important,’ as I realize that within the assessment in common sense of what I have to do and what must get done, implies a physical consideration of it to be done as part of a responsibility or a practical functionality for myself and others in my reality.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to react in apathy and even defeatism whenever having the backchat ‘ I’m not good enough within this career/ what difference will it make to others what I have to say here?’  which is rather a product of self manipulation wherein I am giving into ‘thinking’ my doing based on how it will be received/ viewed and valued/assessed by others, making of this future backchat projection ( lol ) a single obstacle in my mind to simply then turn my back on this work, because of me secretly wanting and desiring and still keeping this belief of me having to ‘change other people’s minds about themselves’ through this particular work/ task that I have to complete. Within this it is seeing how I have created my own condition of ‘If I can be praised/ glorified’ within my mind based on the reception this work will get, then I gladly do it’ – but when there is no certainty of this, I then go into a negative experience toward it in order to  create an experience of being ‘not good enough’ and backchatting myself about it, simply because of expecting a reward that satisfies my ego within this all.

When and as I see myself thinking ‘I’m not good enough within this career/ what difference will it make to others to read/ hear what I have to say here?’ – I stop and I breathe – I realize that within this I am placing a condition to my self-writing, my own physical process of doing things based on a future projection and assumption of how it will be received by others, instead of realizing that I have the absolute ability to simply write within the direction that I already see and realize I am capable of giving myself as the simplicity of opening the document and continuing writing – instead of allowing imagination, future projections, backchat and an overall reaction of uselessness and defeatism to be ‘more’ than myself and my will to move and direct me here.

I commit myself to stop going into future projections about the reception and how will ‘others’ read my words and what they will ‘think’ of my work and instead, simply direct myself to physically do it in the moment, as myself – directing-me to do it, regardless of expecting a positive or negative outcome of it, as I see and realize that within trapping myself in these two polarities, I condition my very physical to energy instead of realizing and living out the understanding of how the physical is able to move itself by simply the ‘force’ that I can redefine as self-movement instead of mind-energetic conditions to move that I had imposed onto the physical’s unconditional self movement.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to hold the backchat ‘I’m wasting my time with this’ as an excuse to instead veer toward doing ‘something else’ – without realizing that the actual wasting of breath-time is whenever I am finding excuses and justifications to not do it, wherein I then create a positive experience of me not doing something based on the belief that ‘there is no use to it’ – thus creating and placing conditions to my self movement according to what I have defined as valuable and what I have defined as ‘not valuable’ and within this separation, actually missing the point of it all wherein I am waiting for something to be ‘productive’ for me to do instead of me doing and directing myself to ‘do it’/ be productive in the moment.

When and as I see myself thinking that ‘I am wasting my time on a task’ I stop and I breathe – I realize that this stems from the inner value-system I have created toward tasks/ points that I have to do based on the experience that they create within me as either satisfying a positive experience in my mind or not, wherein I thus realize that anything that is generating a sense of ‘lack’ or wanting to do ‘something else’ instead, is already indicating that I am at the right place where there is no energy ‘flow’ within the doing of it, and as such, that all the points that come to my mind as something that I would ‘rather do’ are identified as mind-triggers for positive experience, which I must then debunk in order to see how my own value system of ‘preferred activities and tasks’ stems from the energetic experience I get of it , indicating that it is the mind that is seeking itself to have ‘time’ to satisfy itself instead of me as a self directive being directing myself to do things that will not cause me a positive or negative experience, but simply have to be done.

When and as I see myself then now attempting to go into a positive experience for ‘moving’ through this procrastination point, I stop and I breathe – I realize that making it a positive experience because ‘yay I am moving!’ is also a mind experience to still create positive energy within this – thus I commit myself to be absolutely clear and stable within me every moment that I go into the positive experience of stopping the procrastination character, as it would be rather futile to now make this stopping another mind experience – lol.

I commit myself to live Self Responsibility not only as a physical realization of having to ‘get things done’ but also within the understanding that every time that I give into energy – either positive or negative – to do/ not do things, I am abdicating my self-directive principle to move unconditionally and I am in fact abusing my physical body as every time that I create either a negative or a positive experience through thoughts manifesting either a positive or a negative experience, I am subjecting my physical body to be consumed by the mind that requires always to have an energetic fix which comes through the very physical-consumption of my physical body that is transformed into any of these experiences that I then believe is ‘who I am,’ which is unacceptable within the realization that physical movement is here as breath, therefore, as I breathe and simply make the decision to get the writing done/ to work on it I realize that there is no experience required within me, no judgment toward the task in itself, no future projection or conditional ‘result’ of it required, as I see and realize that all of these are mind-created obstacles wanting to get a positive outcome of it all which create a conflict upon that which can be simply physically done and directed.

I realize that the apathy experienced and deliberate ‘not doing’ a task stems from – within various other dimensions that I have probably yet to discover – having a future projection of a positive outcome within it, and within me generating this belief that there is no point to it/ not being good enough/ wasting my time to this. 176.Imagining the worst case scenario: Obstacles to Protect Self Interest

Continuing with Procrastination CharacterImagination and the reactions to it

You can read more about the exploration within the Imagination dimension in the following blog: 169. Imagination as a Distraction to Not Do things

Now, I have walked the thought-dimension of the image of the office and me creating an experience of dread and further anxiety due to the ‘impending doom’ of actually having to confront the professor with my writing itself.

Then there is the other imagination point which is a future projection moment wherein I am facing all the ‘jury’ and presenting my work and expecting the worst which in this case would be them pointing out that my work has nothing to do with my career.

The third point of imagination is having to go through all the ‘paper work’ go get this done, from printing the document to all the necessary permits and letters and all of that scholar bureaucracy that I have also resisted to do.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to within giving energy to the thought of me being at the office, start ‘rolling the imagination’ and playing out a future possibility of my professor simply pointing out that such writing is not acceptable/ is nowhere near finished, and that I have to re-do it all over again wherein I create an experience within my mind within this imagination moment of anxiety and absolute petrification because this means that I have to actually re-do the whole thing again, without realizing that this worst case scenario is only revealing to me how I am entertaining my mind and how I am allowing one single point of imagination to prevent me from actually simply physically doing it.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to experience myself as incompetent and not good enough when confronting my work with my professor, partly because of fearing that I won’t satisfy the praising of art based on the belief that I have with regards to me having to ‘praise my career’ in such paper, instead of actually realizing that this is my opportunity to be self honest and that as such, this self-investigation does not have to be compromised in any way – I also realize that I am within this participation in imagination, making everything a lot more than what it actually is which is just a protocol aspect of finishing a career, wherein instead, I have allowed myself to go into/ sink into anxiety and fear and what if’s, entertaining me in my mind with all these negative future possible outcomes as imagination, which I have used as an excuse to simply not do anything at all about it.

I realize that within this fear I also immediately realize it for ‘what it is’ and then, a laxity comes after this whole play out wherein it is as if I’ve become ‘comfortably numb’ so to speak with regards to this situation, which actually not acceptable as it is once again, just another way of me giving into energy that seems ‘harmless’ because I am not actively participating in fear, but within that seemingly ‘stable’ calmness I have created my own ‘sedative’/ chill pill within my mind wherein I simply stop looking at those thoughts BUT, instead of moving and taking the opportunity and moment to actually MOVE, I instead leave it for later which is then a point that is revealing to what extent I have made ‘okay’ within my mind to simply not work on this, which is actually based on actual fears emerging within  the imagination and an actual anxiety experienced that I have managed to ‘stop’ in a moment, however it obviously returns because the physical correction is not being done, which means: I can stop fear in the moment as an experience within the entire imagination, and I can stop participating in imagination – however, the point returns and will return as long as I don’t simply do it.

When and as I see myself going into imagination point of talking within my professor’s office and hearing the words that indicate that I have to do it all over again, I stop and I breathe – I realize that this imagination is only an excuse for me to actually not do it based on fears and future projections and whatnot which is simply a point of distraction instead of actually DOING IT. I also realize that I can stop the imagination and I can stop the reaction in one breath, however, this same image will continue haunting me as long as I don’t actually DO IT and give it physical direction – this is how I see and realize that no matter if we stop all our participation in thoughts, backchat and imagination and reactions, if we don’t do it, such stopping will simply be another chill pill/ instant placebo remedy wherein we actually then participate in the ‘positive imagination’ in order to make it alright and get back to the ‘feeling good/ better about myself’ in my reality through talking to myself about things that I am doing/ that I can do instead/ that I would ‘rather do’ instead of committing myself to this task.

I commit myself to stop the laxity that comes after relieving myself from these reactions and future play outs within the realization that yes, I am participating in my mind and that is not required in order to do things –however it takes an actual physical movement to ensure that I do not remain the laxity toward my compromise to get this done and believe that ‘fear is just for further self-control’ wherein I talk myself into reasoning why creating fears is simply not necessary to do things, however remain without doing them – thus I commit myself to stop fooling myself when it comes to this ‘stability’ that I know and realize is also a cover up to the actual anxiety that has been suppressed about this point by my own procrastination toward it based on ‘reasoning’ the doing instead of physically doing it.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to participate in the future projection/ imagination point of being in that room where examinations take place and being facing a series of people looking at me with a ‘what the fuck’ face, and going into fear because of realizing that my work is not directly linked to ‘art creation’ itself but more of a self-creative process wherein I am my own prime matter – within this creating a reaction of absolute fear and anxiety when projecting myself within this imagination and going into further backchat – which I will explore later –wherein I while being here and imagining all these aspects, go into fear, shut down everything related to ‘doing that work’ and instead focus in ‘something else’ that must be done, which is me then using other responsibilities as an excuse to not do this, while fully seeing how it is linked to this mind-creation of rejection by the academy toward my work.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to be pessimistic about my work, myself and my presentation toward others, wherein while imagining myself presenting my work with others, I see myself trying to sound ‘convincing’ to others and fearing them just not ‘buying it’ without realizing that I don’t have to be convincing others in order to present myself, my writing, talking about it and replicating with common sense at all times

When and as I see myself using the future projection of being in the examination room with people and believing that they are rejecting/ not buying my explanation and me going into absolute nervousness and stumbling upon my own words – I stop and I breathe – I realize that I am only creating this worst case scenario in my mind as an excuse to actually not Do things  – thus

I commit myself to stop pondering about the ‘what ifs’ and instead commit myself to do it, as I see and realize that it must be done no matter how long it takes – I have to get it done.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to go into an experience of disgust and even tiredness whenever I imagine having to go here and there and print and move with lots of permits and paperwork to get this done, wasting money/ time which I have considered as being very ‘valuable’ within me –without realizing that this is one of the aspects of walking the system, or realizing how things work and function whenever one decides to get a proper title and also realizing that I am making it a lot more in my head based on what other people would tell me with regards to ‘all the time it takes’ and ‘all the paperwork’ which I have created as this foggy load in the back of my head when imagining myself having to go through the same process due to me believing that it will just be ‘too much,’ which is how I have accepted and allowed myself to limit myself based on the Idea that I create of something/ a particular task, instead of simply focusing on Doing it physically and walking through the necessary points breath by breath, as this is how I have also walked an entire career already  – breath by breath, walking Through it and not wasting my breaths hooking onto the ‘experience’ of going through it.

When and as I see myself imagining the entire process of going to all these offices with bright white light and waiting, and sitting and moving around from campus to campus in order to get the papers done and making it an absolute ‘brick’ on the top of my head wherein I go into this heaviness and dread and apathy to do it, I stop and I breathe – I realize that this is part of the points that I must walk through in order to get things done – thus I stop judging, I stop listening to the voices of the memories that indicated/ told me about how ‘dreadful’ and ‘tiresome’ and ‘annoying’ this whole process was which I have used as an excuse to simply not do it at all, which is unacceptable since I am simply at the very last stage of getting this done and as such, I cannot ruin it all just by one single imagination aspect of me having to go through all of these things and making it a lot more than what it in fact is in my mind.

I commit myself to stop participating in the imagination play out of me going to all of these offices and institutional dependencies from the university in order to get the necessary paperwork and instead focus on me walking every step breath by breath and realizing that there are No Shortcuts to this, it must be done, it can be done and it is simply one aspect of the entire process of me walking through this entire phase of my career, unconditionally.

I see and realize that this means that I don’t have to create a future projection of getting something done the way that ‘I want to get it done’ which is base on my exigencies of wanting everything to be done perfectly, without any ‘obstacles’ and without any ‘objections’ from others which is then part of the ‘controller’ personality that I see and realize will be part of debunking this entire process which is in essence wanting everything to be done ‘perfectly’ and ‘fine’ with no problems/ no flaws without realizing that this is all existent as this ‘immaculate process’ within my mind instead of actually physically dedicating myself to do it.

So how can I be holding on to this imagination and thinking about this point being done ‘perfectly’ and ‘without any objections’ if I am not practically and physically simply doing it?

I see and realize how much we can fool ourselves in fears and imaginations and future projections as a justification to not do things, whereas if we had our physical body deciding to imagine how ‘awful’ it would be to digest our food the following day, or having to process a physical activity and becoming fearful of having to ooze the toxins while working out or having to digest and poop out our food, we would be dead as nothing in our physical organism would be / get done – thus if I am standing up for Life in Equality – I equalize myself as my physical body that is unconditional to move and physically function 24/7 every single day as long as I am breathing here – and that’s the reality of physicality – I stop participating in bullshit alternate realities of the mind as ‘obstacles’ of self interest

Ludicrous and must stop here – but this will continue lol

169. Imagination as a Distraction to Not Do things

When it comes to walking the procrastination character in relation to imagination, I could see myself having both positive and negative projections wherein within ‘playing’ with both, I would end up simply being entertained in the mind by either/or with no physical / tangible doing that would mean a single decision to get things done, such as just writing it out.

Thus as much as imagination would be linked to facing a point of fear in relation to the task at hand, the positive imagination would be me convincing myself of what I could instead do to not have to face the point of actually just doing it.

A specific thought among others is when I think of me being at the office of my professor and waiting for a verdict on my paper wherein such single image of the office is linked with a negative energy experience that I have created a resistance toward due to thinking and believing that the word ‘revision’ means doing it all over again several times. I explained the thought of ‘the office’ in the previous blog linked to fear of having to confront my ideas with another person – hence the thought would become an actual play out of events in my mind which is more in the realm of imagination of how it would go finally facing the point and how I would direct myself in the situation:

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to create a resistance to actually doing the written document due to this single thought of me sitting in front of my professor’s chair at his office and waiting for a verdict on the current state of the work, hoping for it to go well without realizing that with me creating this single thought and going into the imagination of him telling me that it is either ‘done’ or ‘requires a lot of re-writing to be done,’ I create an actual resistance to do anything at all – this means that whether my imagination is positive or negative about it, I remain entertained only in my mind about it instead of actually physically doing it.

When and as I see myself entertaining myself in my mind with regards to a positive or negative feedback upon my work, I stop and I breathe – I realize that what is being created in my mind is of no substance other than my own thoughts that are built upon a future projection of me having ‘finished the work,’ which is precisely what needs to be directed by me in physical reality.

I realize that I will invariably have to face such imagination-point as an actual event of going for revisions and that in no way do I require to create an expectation about it being good or bad – I assist and support myself to remain here as breath when and as I approach the office/ the person and take things as breath, ensuring that I do not try to make things only ‘my way’ but am open to perspectives/ constructive criticism that can in fact assist and support me to expand my current view/ perspective on the point.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to link the word ‘revision’ to a negative experience wherein I believe that I will have to re-do everything again and link this ‘re-doing’ to the ‘worst case scenario’ that I participate in within my mind, without realizing that this fear is actually me preventing me from actually doing anything at all.

Thus, when and as I see myself imagining the moment of revision of my work and being anxious and nervous while having him reading the whole thing, expecting for the worst to happen, I stop and I breathe – I realize that I am able and capable of supporting myself to remain here as breath, realize that I can only hear and be willing to co-operate within going through the written document as many times as required in order to have everything done in a suitable manner, without creating any stress or anger for having to repeat the whole thing/ repeat some parts as I see and realize that this is part of doing this work thus

I commit myself to stop any fear and imaginary play outs of the worst case scenario as having to repeat myself several times, which I see is a possibility within the nature of the current task at hand – and that in no way do I require to create a negative experience toward it.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to create a future projection of be expecting ‘the worst’ within the imagination-rolling of this thought of the office wherein I play out a hypothetical situation of me having to re-do the whole thing over and over and over again, getting frustrated about it and this is so without realizing that with me simply giving Into this thinking and imagination processes, I am in fact giving permission for me to eventually really go through this,  as I am being the creator of myself and my reality, believing that I somehow had to ‘face’ such points in order to see ‘who I am’ within them, which is absolutely Not necessary as I can simply decide to stop all future projections in the negative realm of it all ‘going wrong,’ stop all resistances and fears in one single moment and actually do the doing as an actual doing as point of Self Movement that must take place by my own physical decision to type and write it out.

When and as I see myself rolling the thought of the office into an imaginary moment of having to confront my work with another being, I stop and I breathe – I realize that this is me sabotaging myself with no substance to it other than entertaining myself in the mind instead of actually doing – thus

I commit myself to stop going into imagination about future projecting the confrontation/ presentation of my work with other beings and as such, assist and support myself to be here as breath throughout the entire process, as I see and realize that going into nervousness, anxiety or frustration leads nowhere but having to eventually do it all over again no matter what, as I realize that this has to be done and there is no other way around it.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have the imagination of being in the room of examination with all professors and having them asking the question ‘what does this all have to do with your career’? which is a primary imagination play out due to my own backchat toward my career choice and my belief that I am betraying ‘my vocation’ by now being dedicated more to the study of the human mind and not so much in the creative process of visual arts, without realizing that we use our mind to create and as such there is no possibility to dissociate a physical externalization as an ‘expression’ of ourselves without making use of the mind.

Thus I realize that this self-creation process is of course as relevant as any other aspect/ consideration within any expression, as it is an externalization of who we are/ how we are existing as the mind.

When and as I see myself going into imagination of that moment of having to confront my work and receive criticism for it not being ‘visual arts related,’ I stop and I breathe – I realize that there’s no sense of going into this thoughts and participate within it as it is only based on fear and further backchat that I’ve had toward my own career and current interests in life, which can be certainly equally supported by both activities, as both points are related to who we are as humans and as such, there’s no need to create a dissonance around this in my mind any further.

I commit myself to stick to the physical, common-sense reality that is here for me to walk and direct myself in, wherein I do not require to imagine the whole thing ‘being done’ as I can only stick to writing it and working on it as a physical action in the moment, as I see and realize that imagining possible outcomes with it serves no purpose but distraction in relation to the actual work that requires to be done.
